PTA vs Community Council
In our local school system there are two formal organizations where parents and community members can have a voice at the education table at the school. PTA and Community Council. These two groups fill different roles in the school. Escalante Schools PTA focuses on assisting teachers and students with activities that support school goals. The PTA in Escalante supports both Escalante Elementary and Escalante High School and we strive to be the bridge that connects the school with the community. The activities we’re focusing on this year is the subject of another blog post, but in a nutshell, we’re around to help out in fun ways. Anyone can join PTA, although you don’t have to be a PTA member to volunteer at our activities. If you want to help in this way, we need you!
